Avoidance #9, 2024; Collage, Silver gelatin prints, Graphite, and Tape, 28 x 24"

Grahame Lynch is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is grounded in photography and shaped by a lifelong experience of visual disability. Moving between alternative photographic processes, collage,  digital and material forms of image construction, he explores how seeing is felt, disrupted, and interpreted. His recent and upcoming exhibitions extend this inquiry through fragmented self-portraits and volatile landscapes that embrace material unpredictability and visible traces of making. He has participated in group exhibitions and community arts initiatives that connect visual arts and disabilities; and has had solo exhibitions across Canada and in the United States. He has participated in several artist in residence programs in France, Ireland, and Canada.  Grahame has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph and is an Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University.
